Healthy Steps Nutrition is a habit-based health coaching program designed to help people improve their overall well-being through simple, sustainable behavior change. This app takes the same system that earned recognition as the Top Habit-Based Coaching Program in 2025 and puts it in your hands. Written by dietitians, trusted by doctors, and built for you, Healthy Steps Nutrition provides science-backed strategies to support lasting health and real results.
Our philosophy is rooted in three principles: prioritize whole foods first, balance meals with protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, and limit ultra-processed foods, added sugar, and alcohol to support long-term health.
We believe health is the outcome of daily habits. Rather than restrictive plans or quick fixes, we focus on sustainable behavior change across nutrition, sleep, movement, and mindset to create lasting transformation.
The HSN app coaches through four core actions: Learn, Plan, Track, and Connect. You learn through short, science-backed lessons; plan balanced meals using simple principles; track habits, meal photos, and health data; and connect with coaching and community support for accountability and long-term success.
When you upload a meal photo, ‘Nez estimates ingredients, references nutrition data, and provides feedback based on Healthy Steps Nutrition’s core principles. The goal is to guide balanced, sustainable choices — not perfection.
The Healthy Steps Nutrition app focuses on building small, sustainable habits across nutrition, sleep, movement, and mindset. You’ll complete daily habits, log meals, work through lessons, and track progress over time.
Yes. You can add and publish recipes inside the app to support meal planning, and once published, they are visible to the entire community. If you choose to unsubscribe from the Healthy Steps Nutrition app, your published recipes will remain in the platform for community access.
After adding a recipe, you may submit it for Dietitian Approval if it meets the established criteria, including full nutrition facts (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, sugar, and fiber), no more than 500 calories per serving, no more than 10 grams of sugar per serving, no more than 20 grams of fat per serving, and limited processed foods. Once submitted, the recipe is immediately published in the community-driven section, and if approved within up to 14 business days, it will receive a Dietitian Approved stamp and appear under the Dietitian Approved filter. You can search recipes by HSN, Dietitian Approved, or Community Driven.
No. The Healthy Steps Nutrition approach focuses on building balanced meals with whole foods, prioritizing protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, while limiting ultra-processed foods, rather than strict calorie tracking.
Most clients keep things simple by using the meal photo feature, which provides quick AI feedback and insights. This helps guide your choices without adding extra time or stress, so you can make informed decisions in a way that feels easy and sustainable.
