Topics Discussed in this Episode
Meg's journey with nutrition
Through her late teens into her early 20s, Meg started to take on exercising as part of her daily habits and became interested with how to properly fuel her body.
During her journey with nutrition she hit some bumps in the road with GI issues, struggling to loose body fat, food allergies and skin issues.
This led Meg to work with Amanda, a nutrition coach at Healthy Steps Nutrition. Amanda worked with Meg to do some elimination diet options and some other testing, to figure out what is best for her body’s internal responses to food.
Since following a routine, Meg’s body has regulated and she has never felt better! She has more energy, doesn’t struggle with sleep, no longer has joint pain and has even noticed that her hair is growing more.
How she has turned a passion for nutrition into purpose
Meg is so passionate about nutrition and helping other people. In the midst of a pandemic, Meg and the owner of Brand Fitness, Jason launched a nutrition program using the HSN platform.
Meg has found that working with a nutrition coach herself, has taught her a lot and she’s able to implement those things through her own nutrition program now and help other people.
Meg's simple tips to get a client started
Meg loves to customize each plan for her clients when working with them one on one.
Meg has her clients focus on eating the plate method, half a plate with veggies, a quarter with lean protein and a quarter with a healthy starch.
Another simple approach for Meg’s clients is focusing on water intake.
Meg's favorite HSN recipes
Meg meal preps the Paleo Overnight Oats every week!
Her go to gluten free option is Sweet Potato Toast
