Meet Kristin Streit

Kristin is the 2020 HSN Spirit Award Winner. 
She is a fun-loving, hard-working, mom, wife, and friend to so many! 
She has two kids, Nolan and Emerson. 
She is positive, motivating, and guaranteed to make you smile when you see her! 
She’s been teaching at Eagle Ridge Elementary for 17 years between kindergarten and first grade. (God Bless Her!) 
You will find her at the 4:30 PM class during the week or running with the girls on the weekend.
Be careful, she might convince you to join her for the running club! 🤣

Her Journey With CrossFit

Since joining Healthy Steps Nutrition & CrossFit HSN, Kristin has gained strength, endurance, and a CrossFit family who is cheering for her every step of the way!

Kristin joined CrossFit HSN after her husband, Scott wrapped up a 6-week challenge in 2018. 

Since then, she has worked hard to consistently put up the top female scores in the gym! 

What is your secret to success?

My secret to success is consistency and being a creature of habit. 

Meal prep and schedule workouts at the same times on the same days so there is no deviating from routine. Everyone knows my schedule because it’s always the same. 😁

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?

My favorite CrossFit movement is either any shoulder to overhead movement and overhead squats! My least favorite is probably the snatch because I have so much work to do! 🥴

What do you do to stay on track with your nutrition?

To stay on track with nutrition I make sure to plan meals in advance and use the plate method. 

I know what I’m cooking for the week before I go to the store and know I have food set for the week. I’m big on cooking it all on Sundays so there isn’t a last-minute scramble to find dinner or not cook at all during the week It’s all done.

What do you love about CrossFit HSN?

I love so many things about HSN…I know…even though I was convinced I didn’t need it in my life.

I love the community.

I love the way each and every member lifts the others up mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I love that every member wants you to succeed and make you better than you were the day before.

I love that it feels like a big extended family and I know so much about everyone beyond what they scored on the workout the day before.

I also love that the dumbbells all face the same direction and they are all clearly labeled. 🤣
