The Best of 2019: New Foods and Healthy Recipes

Can you believe it’s almost 2020? We have tried so many new recipes and foods this year and wanted to remind you of some of our favorites. We are not sponsored or paid by these companies, we just think they taste great and are top-notch in terms of quality!

We also released dozens of recipes this year and we wanted to make sure that you didn’t miss some of the most popular ones!

TOP NEW FOOD FINDS

CAULIPOWER CHICKEN TENDERS

These delicious chicken fingers are made with cauliflower instead of flour so they are lower in carbs than other brands on the market. We love cooking them in the

air fryer (

Only 10 minutes on 400).

If you are looking for an easy protein staple, these are a must-try! You will find these at Walmart. Click

HERE for more info about caulipower chicken tenders.

SWEET POTATOASTS

These easy slices of sweet potato are a great way to add carbs to your eggs in the morning or with pulled chicken for lunch. They are also great when cooked in the air-fryer.

If you are looking for an easy way to add a low glycemic carbohydrate to your meal, this is a great option! These are available at most grocery store chains. Click

potatoasts

LOCAL SPAGHETTI SAUCE: FRICK AND

FRACK

A sauce is an easy staple to have in the house. This was a local find when shopping at the farmer’s market. There are only fresh ingredients and one-third the amount of sugar than your standard sauce you will find on the shelf at the grocery store.

This sauce will go great with zoodles or

spaghetti squash. Click

here for more information about Frick and Frack sauce.

TRADER JOES: CAULIFLOWER GNOCCHI

This is an absolute staple in our house and best cooked in the

air-fryer.

I would recommend pairing with some red sauce, ideally a local brand that is low in sugar, and some lean beef or turkey meatballs. This is something that I would cook fresh before eating every time, otherwise, they can get soggy.

The only place you will find this item is Trader Joes. Click

here for more info about cauliflower gnocchi.

SIETE GRAIN-FREE TACO SHELLS

If you like taco Tuesday as much as we do, these will come in handy! They are much lighter than your standard taco shell and taste great. They are also certified gluten-free. We often pair these with

pulled chicken. This is great reheated as well!

You can find these at most grocery stores. Click

here to find more information about the siete grain-free taco shells.
